Handmade fused glass tiles by Rob Welsh are custom
made to order. They combine easily with regular ceramic tiles, and can be used to brighten up your
kitchen or bathroom.
Use them as decorative hangings against windows, or as backlit inserts in
floors or walls, or even inlaid into hearths or furniture.
Tiles can be used in conjunction with plain ceramic tiles to add interest, or used to fill solid areas
to make a themed panel, like the 'watertiles' panel shown here. An assorted pallette of plain coloured tiles can also
be used to good effect as shown in the bathroom photograph above.

Tiles can be made to order in any size up to 20" x 20" (500mm x 500mm), and in any reasonable shape e.g.
hexagonal, circular etc. Inclusions can be of your own design and colour. Prices on request. Use
combinations of clear, coloured, and patterned tiles for startling effects.
All tiles are kiln fused. Due to the individual manufacturing process, designs and colours may vary
from the images seen here. Once made to size, tiles cannot be cut.
Clear tiles can have a splash of colour added. Small pieces of coloured glass (or fritt) are sprinkled on the
work prior to fusing in the kiln, as seen in the tile on the right.
Mount all these tiles as you would with normal ceramic tiles, ensuring complete coverage of the wall with
tile cement - the tiles are transparent! Use white tile cement for best effect.
All designs can be either inside the tile giving a bubbly watery effect (as with the starfish and
goldfish tiles shown here on the left), or on top of the tile giving a subtle low relief textural effect with a more
rounded softer outline (as with the assorted fish and starfish designs shown here on the right).
